Why you’ll love this banana pancake recipe

These pancakes strike the perfect balance between easy and tasty, using simple pantry staples to make a breakfast everyone in your house will love.

  • No fuss, no mess: Everything blends in one container, so cleanup is a breeze.
  • Naturally sweetened: Ripe bananas add sweetness without needing extra sugar.
  • Hearty and filling: Oats make these pancakes more satisfying than traditional versions.

Ingredients

  • Old fashioned rolled oats: These form the base of the pancakes, giving them a hearty texture and subtle nutty flavor once blended.
  • Bananas: Ripe bananas provide natural sweetness and help bind the batter while keeping the pancakes moist.
  • Milk of choice: Use dairy or plant-based milk—both work well to create a smooth, pourable batter.
  • Eggs: Eggs add structure and help the pancakes hold together while cooking.
  • Vanilla: A splash of vanilla enhances the overall flavor and adds a warm, sweet aroma.
  • Baking powder: This gives the pancakes their lift, making them light and fluffy.
  • Salt: Just a pinch balances the sweetness and brings out all the flavors.
  • Cinnamon: Adds a cozy, slightly spiced note that pairs perfectly with the bananas.

How to make blender banana pancakes

  1. Add the milk, eggs, bananas, and vanilla to a blender. Blend until completely smooth.
  2. Add the oats, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Blend again until smooth, about 1 minute.
  3. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium low heat. Lightly grease with a small amount of oil.
  4. Pour about ¼ cup of batter onto the hot surface for each pancake.
  5. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look just set.
  6. Flip and cook for another 30 seconds, or until cooked through.
  7. Transfer to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter.

Tips from my kitchen

  1. For the best texture and flavor, use very ripe bananas—they blend more easily and add better flavor.
  2. If your batter seems too thick, add a splash of milk to loosen it slightly.
  3. When cooking the pancakes, keep the heat on the lower side to prevent the outside from browning too quickly before the inside cooks through.

Conclusion

These Blender Banana Pancakes are a simple recipe that you’l find yourself reaching for over and over.

With minimal prep and healthy ingredients, they’re an easy way to upgrade your breakfast routine without adding stress.

Whether you top them with banana slices, maple syrup, or a dollop of yogurt, they’re a comforting, delicious start to any day.
