In a cereal bowl, mash the banana until smooth.
1 ripe banana
Add the honey and vanilla and mix to incorporate.
2 TBS (42 g) honey, ¼ tsp vanilla
Stir in the baking powder, baking soda, and salt until completely dissolved.
½ tsp baking powder, ⅛ tsp baking soda, ⅛ tsp table salt
Gently fold in the flour.
¼ cup (35 g) whole wheat flour
Fold in the chocolate chips.
2 TBS mini chocolate chips
Lightly grease a microwave safe mug.
Pour the batter into prepared mug. Microwave for a minute at a time, checking after every minute. The mug cake is done when the center is smooth and set. Can take 2-3 minutes, depending on your microwave.
Let cool for about a minute, then enjoy right out of the mug!
