Equipment

  • 4 Popsicle sticks
  • Tall drinking glass
  • microwave safe bowl
  • Plastic bag

Ingredients

  • 2 Medium bananas ripe but firm
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 TBS Honey
  • ¼ cup Chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Peel the bananas and cut each in half crosswise. Insert a popsicle stick into the cut end of each half to create a handle. Place on a parchment-lined tray.
    2 Medium bananas
  • Freeze the bananas for at least 2 hours or until firm.
  • In a medium bowl, flavor the yogurt with the honey and vanilla.* Transfer the yogurt to a glass tall enough for the banana halves.
2 cups Greek yogurt, 1 tsp Vanilla extract, 2 TBS Honey
  • Working one at a time, dip each frozen banana half into the yogurt, turning to coat evenly. Gently tap popsicle stick on the glasses edge to remove excess yogurt.
  • Once coated, place the bananas back on the parchment lined tray or plate.
  • Melt chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl. Let cool slightly, then transfer to a plastic snack bag. Snip a small hole in the corner of the bag.
    ¼ cup Chocolate chips
  • Carefully pipe ghostly eyes and mouths on the banana pops.
  • Put the banana pops in the freezer for at least 15-30 minutes to set the yogurt and chocolate.
  • Enjoy these banana ghost pops straight from the freezer!

Notes

*You can also use vanilla Greek yogurt and skip the step of sweetening it yourself.
